This quick guide will help you prepare and securely set up your Ledger hardware wallet. Begin by unboxing your device and ensuring the contents are intact. Connect the device to your computer using the provided cable, and follow the instructions shown on the screen. You will use the two physical buttons to navigate and confirm actions.

When prompted, create a new wallet and choose a PIN code. Select a PIN that is secure and memorable, and never share it with anyone. After creating your PIN, the device will display a recovery phrase made of twenty-four words. Write these words on paper and store them safely. This phrase is the only way to restore your wallet if the device is lost or reset.

After securing your recovery phrase, install the apps needed for the assets you plan to manage. Once installed, you can add accounts, view balances, and approve transactions directly on the device for maximum security.
